This handmade vintage kantha cushion in yellow and pinkish purple is a one-off design, made from recycled cotton saris with kantha hand stitching. Each of our kantha cushions is completely unique, with bold patterns, vibrant colours and plenty of texture to give your lounge or bedroom that bohemian, eclectic look.

It's made from several layers of recycled cotton saris, hand stitched together by artisans in India to create wonderful one-off kantha fabric. We turn this fabric into beautifully textured cushions here in our studio in Sussex, UK

We have 4 of these almost identical cushions and some complementary ones all made from the same piece of kantha fabric. They are reversible with an invisible zip so you can use them any way up.

SIZE: 45cm square (18")

These cushions are made from recycled fabrics, so expect the odd sign of wear and use.

Choose one of our British wool or premium duck feather and down cushion inserts, or use with your own similar sized cushion insert (or slightly bigger to really fill it out).

Materials

Made from 100% recycled cotton kantha quilts.
Kantha fabric is a traditional Indian technique for hand sewing layers of recycled saris together to make bedcovers and throws. The saris are usually cotton, hand printed using wooden blocks with vibrant, complex patterns

Eco-Friendly

All our textiles are made using natural materials including cotton, linen, bamboo (and occasionally polyester recycled from post-consumer waste). You won't find any fabrics made from raw plastics such as polyester or acrylic, or made using toxic chemical processes such as viscose or acetates. Natural products not only feel better, they are also hypoallergenic, better for you and for the planet.

We send everything using minimal biodegradable plastic bags for protection and recyclable paper packaging.

Id ordered some cushions and they were so beautifully made and really lovely fabric so e mailed Biggs & Hill and asked would they be able to make a huge cushion a beanbag!!? A very prompt reply came back….of course send sizes so i did and it arrived and was as perfectly made as cushions absolutely gorgeous! Great company to deal with!
