If you love handmade, intricate stitching and artisan design then this hand-embroidered kantha quilt ticks all the boxes for detail and unique, colourful pattern and authentic craft.

Our selection of newly made kantha bedcovers were hand-stitched by women in remote villages in Bangladesh. A traditional craft in decline, these women are keeping the skills alive with new forms of embroidery work, reinventing a craft that historically made Bengal an epicentre for fine embroidery work.

This one features a traditional lotus flower medallion pattern on a deep navy blue. The pattern is printed in outline and infilled with multi colour stitching selected by the artisan to create one-off designs.

Made from two layers of cotton, it has a nice weight to it, ideal as a light summer layer or as a decorative throw.

Size: 235cm x 200cm (93" x 78")

Id ordered some cushions and they were so beautifully made and really lovely fabric so e mailed Biggs & Hill and asked would they be able to make a huge cushion a beanbag!!? A very prompt reply came back….of course send sizes so i did and it arrived and was as perfectly made as cushions absolutely gorgeous! Great company to deal with!
