This unique piece is a vintage Anatolian (Turkish) Cicim Kilim mat, featuring an exceptionally rare and highly collectible anthropomorphic doll/human figure border.

Fun Fact: The line of figures holding hands along the bottom edge represents a traditional Turkish tribal motif known as "İnsan" or "Elibelinde". In village weaving folklore, this sequence represents a family unit, a celebration/dance, or a protection charm to safeguard the weaver's family from harm and ensure safe childbirth.

Id ordered some cushions and they were so beautifully made and really lovely fabric so e mailed Biggs & Hill and asked would they be able to make a huge cushion a beanbag!!? A very prompt reply came back….of course send sizes so i did and it arrived and was as perfectly made as cushions absolutely gorgeous! Great company to deal with!
