Simple, subtle but full of character, this late 20th Century Suzani from Uzbekistan features bold geometric and floral patterns embroidered in cotton on a cotton base.

This suzani style comes from Urgut near Samarkland in Southern Uzbekistan. A traditional craft mainly created as dowry pieces and often stitched by a couple of family members then joined.

Size: 150cm x 125cm (59” x 49”)

Ideal as a wall hanging to elevate a neutral space, these suzanis will add authentic character and traditional craftsmanship to your room. hang above a bed or as a feature artwork.

This suzani has some fraying around the edge band but is otherwise in great condition for its age.

Id ordered some cushions and they were so beautifully made and really lovely fabric so e mailed Biggs & Hill and asked would they be able to make a huge cushion a beanbag!!? A very prompt reply came back….of course send sizes so i did and it arrived and was as perfectly made as cushions absolutely gorgeous! Great company to deal with!
