A beautiful vintage handwoven nomadic tribal Afghan Soumak, in faded pinks with intricate, mesmerising patterns.

The heavy structure makes the rug incredibly durable, highly stable on the floor (it won’t wrinkle or slip like thin kilims), and gives it a charmingly rustic, authentic texture that adds a cushion of warmth in the cold winters.

Approximately 50-70 years old, it is in superb condition for its age, with only a couple of the fringes missing. Woven in wool on cotton warp threads with long fringes.

Size: 350cm x 221cm (139" x 87") including 15cm (6") fringes on either end

All our rugs have been cleaned, repaired and moth-treated.

Handmade in Afghanistan by Tribal/Nomadic Soumaks, a true and investment grade piece.

Id ordered some cushions and they were so beautifully made and really lovely fabric so e mailed Biggs & Hill and asked would they be able to make a huge cushion a beanbag!!? A very prompt reply came back….of course send sizes so i did and it arrived and was as perfectly made as cushions absolutely gorgeous! Great company to deal with!
